Natural makeup look....

My friend is getting married at the end of this month and requested I do a post on natural makeup for inspiration for her wedding makeup...so here it is! Hope you like it :) Any requests just ask and any other ideas please say as it would all help for my friend :).
The natural look is something I rarely do being a fan of colour colour and more colour! Be it red lips or lashings of mascara, but I know when I get married (one day I hope!) I will be wanting a more natural look, I have done some research on fab products to use for this beautiful look.

The key to a natural look is a good base, find a good foundation and this is a product that is worth spending that little bit more on along with the concealer. I recommend MAC Studio FX foundation which has great coverage that doesnt "cake" on. I find it lasts all day and is my must have product! I couldnt live without this foundation! It covers and has an SPF of 15 which is perfect to help with those damaging rays. Alongside this great foundation MAC has a great cover up concealer called Select Cover Up which is also a must have! I use this under the eyes which lasts all day and covers my dark circles! I use this to cover any blemishes and it finishes my look perfectly. I have used both these products since I can remember as no matter what other alternatives I have tried nothing has compared. Both come in many different shades so pop along to your nearest MAC counter.

Urban Decay

For the eyes I would use gentle tones such as MAC shroom on
the base, then add orb which has a almost a peachy tone to it, then add satin taupe around the edge and eyelash line, or for a darker look apply smut. Another good colour is from smashbox earth mother palette! A taupe shade with gold to compliment and add sparkle. I love gold tones, they really lift the eye colour and add a feminine touch. Some other good shades is the Urban Decay Snakebite Tease palette. Add some eyeliner you the eyelash line to add definiton. Ensure your eyebrows are plucked and looking groomed. I recommend Benefit brow palette.

Now onto adding colour. Bronzer lightly brushed over the face gives a lovely glow, dont add too much otherwise it looks orange! There are so many different shades, i would recommend you go out and explore the market with your skin colour. Here are some that I think are fab!

1. Collection 2000- fantastic value product that looks great.
2. Laura Geller- a gorgeous shade that suits many skin tones.
3. NARS Laguna- an expensive but beautiful bronzer that has many good reviews.

Add a splash of pink to the cheeks with my favourite N.7 in Candy pink, looks bright but doesnt go on bright, adds a touch of blush that gives a pretty english rose look.

And finally the lips! Either a gloss for those that dont want to go down the lipstick route, such as my favourite lip rosting by jelly pong pong in irish cream pavlova or for a subtle shade try NYX taupe mega shine lipgloss.
Or if you want to use lipstick I would recommend a kissable shade from MAC called Kinda Sexy! A gorgeous natural shade with a hint of pink.

Hope you have enjoyed my post about natural makeup...and hope this has helped you Ellie! Wish her luck for her wedding guys!
