Italian Paradise.... Outfit #3

My last look at an outfit, I forgot to take photos on my Canon but had some on my Instagram so you can always peek at that.

Another beautiful view, this time from my Aunties house, this always takes my breath away. My outfit is one I throw on at home with trainers and a leather jacket for a more relaxed look, here we were heading out for a meal so I put on my sparkly wedges to jazz the dress up.

Italian Paradise.....Outfit #2

The weather was incredible as you would expect, lazy days at the beach a LOT of eating we are Italian after all. This outfit was worn when we went to a restaurant my cousin works at. The outfit was photographed by my beautiful mama which explains the poses and laughter! She was fab....she made me use a Vespa as a prop!

What To Pack In Your Summer Handbag

I don't know about you, but I do change my bag season to season and change what I have in these bags. In winter its about gloves, dark berry lipsticks and tissues! When it comes to summer I am all about bright lipsticks, refreshing body mists and sweet exotic fragrances.

One essential for my summer bag is a cooling spray, one of my favourites has to be the Vichy Thermal Spa Water Spray, it instantly cools whilst leaving your skin hydrated.

summer essentials, what to pack, what to take in your handbag, how to pack for the summer

Secondly my favourite summer lipsticks, I adore MAC lipsticks and happen to have the following in my summer bag

Girl About Town
Show Orchid
Flat Out Fabulous

MAC, Summer mac essentials, essential mac lipsticks, what to put in your handbag
An essential we all need to be using is suncream, check whether your foundation has SPF, which is vital to reduce the ageing process. I would always have an SPF of at least 20 whilst in the uk but if the temperature gets super hot its at least 30 for me and 50 for the children. One of my favourite suncreams has to be Malibu, the scent is like a tropical paradise!

Another essential has to be a beautiful exotic fragrance to spritz as you go along your day. L'Occitane have produced a range of Eau De Toilette for both men and women that will whisk you off to the Mediterranean, with notes of Lavender, Rose, Cherry Blossom, Verbena and Peony, My favourite fragrance is Rose, I absolutely love it and this glamourous fragrance will have you smelling beautiful in a flash.

Italian Paradise....Outfit inspiration

I'm back, after 4 months I have finally come back!! I have had baby number two which has not been particularly easy so had to drop the blogging for a while to gather myself. Hope you all understand, it isn't easy juggling life is it! So here is a look at me going back "Home" to Ischia in Italy for a couple of weeks! A little peek into some of my outfits, I will do this across a few posts....here is outfit one!

Look at this view from one of my Uncles houses!! This place is otherwise known as a "cave" but its amazing, he built what I can only describe as a massive living room within a mountain! With a big kitchen and a table to feed the 5000! We have many parties and family gatherings here with views like this.

Relaxed Sunday Outfit....

Here is a little outfit post for you lovely lot. Its a Sunday today, well thats what day it is when I'm wearing this outfit and writing the post.

I love Sundays as its a chance to relax and be with my family with an Italian feast. I used to always wear heels day and night but as motherhood has taken over this has reduced but if I can I grab those bad boys with both hands and strut around!!

I got contacted by Tienne Jewellers, a great website showcasing various jewellery brands, I was able to chose a couple of items and straight away fell in love with these two necklaces by Estella Bartlett. My favourite out of the two is the Hand Of Fatima gold necklace, I have not taken it off since I received it! The second is the silver unicorn necklace, both at £19 each.

Review: The Body Shop Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturiser

The Body Shop have always been a brand I have liked but never highly rated when it came to the skincare they offered, from Vitamin E to Tea Tree they offered a good variety but nothing that stood out to me or proved to me it was worth the wow factor but all of that changed over the last year or so when my eyes caught sight of positive reviews with the latest launches, so here is my take on the "Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturiser".
I heard good things about this product and wanted to try it out for myself especially when it claims to boost "dull, tired, grumpy skin" this is something my skin needs urgent help with lately after the arrival of my second child.

bbloggerschat, the body shop, glow boosting moisturiser, the body shop skincare, best highstreet moisturiser,

The packaging is simple, clean and appears high end. It has a matte black lid which I like as I feel matte black looks more expensive then the shiny glossy packaging, the packaging is a bright zesty orange reflecting the zesty scent!

The scent is not overpowering at all, instead it has a refreshing orange scent with a hint of a sweet flower hiding amonst the orange, a scent I love to smell in the mornings, it reminds me of being on my Nonnas balcony amonst her orange trees.

I have used this cream non stop since purchasing it, this has been the product that made me fall in love with the brand again, so much so I became a body shop consultant! The cream is a light orange colour, which feels refreshing and light to touch, I use this cream every morning to wake me up which it sure does, I feel refreshed and ready to face the world. The product claims to " refine texture for smoother, softer-feeling skin" what a claim to make! After a week of using this cream I would say my skin is brighter, happier and appears to be smoother with a glow that makes my makeup love my skin!

Review: Dr Renaud My Glowing Complexion Program Kit

Over the past few weeks I have been lucky enough to try out the Dr Renaud My Glowing Complexion Programme, if you didn't know already Dr Renaud is a French brand who are a part of the NUXE group. I received this gorgeous handy kit to review, containing a 20ml Carrot Scrub Detox, 5ml Carrot Radiance Boost Day Cream and a Carrot Renewing Night Cream which is also 5ml. Each of these products contain active ingredients such as raspberry, carrots and coconut. This little kit is handy and comes all wrapped up in orange tissue paper, its the little things that make me happy.....i.e tissue paper!

Dr Renaud skincare, Dr Renaud carrot scrub review, Dr Renaud carrot glowing complexion kit review,

The Carrot Scrub Detox was the product I was excited to try as I do love a good exfoliator but struggle to find one I love. This scrub feels creamy yet exfoliates without being too rough, it left my skin smooth and soft and felt refreshed. The creamy product smells delicious, it doesn't particularly smell of carrots but instead reminds me of fresh oranges. This product is paraben free, containing ingredients such as jojoba beads, white clay and carrots that are used to give your complexion radiant boost.

Dr Renaud skincare, Dr Renaud carrot scrub review, Dr Renaud carrot glowing complexion kit review,

Carrot Radiance Boost Day Cream is a great cream to use daily, it is creamy and seems to work well with my normal- combination skin. The cream again has a sweet scent that makes me think of oranges with a slight carrot whiff! I am not great at describing scents am I?! The cream left my skin happy and radiant, allowing my foundation to be applied with ease. The cream contains carrot and other active ingrediants to help give your skin a much deserved boost.

Dr Renaud skincare, Dr Renaud carrot scrub review, Dr Renaud carrot glowing complexion kit review,

Carrot Renewing Night Cream is a light cream that promises to regenerate a detoxify. The product again has the lovely scent that is seen throughout this kit, the consistency isn't much thicker then the day cream and is light in colour. I used this before bed and felt my skin loved it, it soaked it up nicely and when I woke the next day my skin looked refreshed and radiant!

I enjoyed these products and if I had to chose one to have in my skincare cupboard it would have to be the Carrot Scrub Detox as it was such a gorgous product that gave great results with a refreshing sweet scent.

Review: Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Lipstick Firebird

Urban Decay have certainly made a good move collaborating with Gwen Stefani, the fashion and  music icon, to release a range of stunning beauty products such as a blushers and eyeshadows, the eyeshadow palette being one product I own! Lucky girl I know so when I heard about the lipsticks I just couldn't help myself!

Gwen stefani makeup, gwen stefani lipstick, urban decay gwen stefani, gwen stefani firebird swatch, gwen stefani lipstick review

Look at the packaging!! I mean hello beautiful! A gold and black bullet classic of the Gwen Stefani packing, it looks unique and just darn beautiful! The shade I chose was Firebird a purple/pink shade that appeared my kind of colour on the website.

Gwen stefani makeup, gwen stefani lipstick, urban decay gwen stefani, gwen stefani firebird swatch, gwen stefani lipstick review

Firebird is a stunning purple that almost has a metallic sheen, when swatched on the lips I gasped! It is a soft opaque purple that has a blue undertone, it is stunning! I don't own a lipstick exactly like this but if I had to find a similar colour I would say MAC Show Orchid. The colour lasts well, not as long as a MAC matte lipstick would, still I was happy with the wear and appearance of this lipstick. The lipstick doesn't have any scent which would be music to some ears! This lipstick is moisturising and has a slight glossy finish on the lips, please Urban Decay do not stop collaborating with Gwen Stefani, she has proven to be a genius when it comes to makeup!

Review: Zoeva Cocoa Blend Eyeshadow Palette

Zoeva is a beauty brand that consists of makeup brushes, palettes and much more. Zoeva is an affordable brand from Germany founded in 2008. I have always wanted to try a product from Zoeva not only for its quality but its price tag too!

For Christmas I was lucky to get the Zoeva Cocoa Blend Eyeshadow Palette, a palette of 10 beautiful shades, five mattes and five shimmer shades.

Mattes:

Bitter Start- a matte creamy white shade
Sweeter End- a taupe matte shade
Substitute For Love- a matte mocha shade with little chunks of glitter in
Freshly Toasted- a matte milk chocolate shade
Beans Are White- a matte black shade

Metallic/Shimmer-

Pure Ganache- a shimmery metallic gold shade
Warm Notes- a metallic burnt pink shade
Subtle Blend- a metallic shimmery brown shade
Infusion- a metallic grey with chunks of glitter
Delicate Acidity- a metallic heather shade

This palette has a perfect combination of shades and finishes, these shadows can create many looks for both day and night, this palette is now a firm favourite! My favourite shade has to be Warm Notes which is stunning with its beautiful shade of pink/red teamed with Freshly Toasted is amazing.

These eyeshadows are that creamy that when I swatched them and ended up ruining Warm Notes as went in too hard! Was so upset but have salvaged it! The pigmentation is fantastic, just one rub of the finger and the colour is shown not like some shadows where you have to rub over and over to get any colour to appear. The colours are not chalky and blend easily so is a palette easy to work with.

I truly adore this palette and the eyeshadows are simply stunning and for only £15.50 and is available on Beauty Bay.

Review: Ellie Goulding MAC Makeup

Most of us know the popstar Ellie Goulding, a blonde bombshell who did the soundtrack for the raunchy 50 Shades of Grey so no wonder MAC wanted to do a collaboration with this talented little beauty!

Ellie Goulding came onto the music scene as a natural beauty queen, but as the time has gone on her makeup has become more dramatic with smokey eyes and subtle pink cheeks and her MAC collection definitely defined her style.

The packaging for the products are sleek and have a high end appeal. Each package has a glossy black exterior with a rose gold interior featuring a rose gold triangle with Ellie Gouldings initials. Rose gold is just so pretty that it instantly appeals to many, especially with a glossy black background. The only I would say is that I wish the actual products featured the rose gold inside. A lovely addition to the products is the triangle and initials embossed on the lipsticks and blushers.

The lipstick I have is the Only You in Cremesheen, a creamy moisturising MAC formula. This lipstick is very creamy and glides onto the lips, it is my lips but with a peach tint so is a lovely lipstick for everyday especially for the hot summer days. You do need to reapply this regularly throughout the day so if you are after a long lasting lipstick this would not be for you.

The next product I have is the powder blush featuring a peach blusher and light brown bronzer. The bronzer is the largest part of this powder blush with an embossment of the triangle symbol, it is a light brown with tiny glitter particles. The peach blusher is a pretty summery peach colour that will be stunning with a tan! I have used these individually, the bronzer isn't dark enough for me but is nice for a flush of colour. I also have swirled these colours together which created a very pretty peachy bronze colour to the cheeks, the subtle shimmer in the bronzer worked so well with the peach shade so this is a winner combo! Get swirling!
